Team India player Sanju Samson officially unveiled the Kerala Cricket League (KCL) logo on Friday at Hyatt Regency, Thiruvananthapuram.The event also featured the unveiling of the logos for the individual franchises.
Sanju Samson expressed his happiness and gratitude towards the cricket league, sharing his appreciation on behalf of all cricketers in Kerala. Reflecting on his journey, he reminisced about his first Kerala Cricket Association (KCA) meeting, which took place when he was just 10 years old.
Sanju Samson also highlighted that the Kerala Cricket League (KCL) had been in the pipeline for 3-4 years and is the result of the hard work of many dedicated individuals. He expressed hope that the tournament will pave the way for at least 20 cricketers from Kerala to feature in the IPL in the future. Samson emphasized that this platform will give local talent the opportunity to showcase their skills on both national and international stages.
The KCL player auction is set to take place on Saturday at the Hyatt Regency, starting at 10 am.KCL T20 matches will be held at the Greenfield International Stadium from September 2 to 19.
"Fans can anticipate two exciting games daily, including both day and night matches. The league will be officially launched by legendary actor and KCL brand ambassador Mohanlal on August 31 at noon at the Hyatt Regency," stated a release from the Kerala Cricket Association.
